Buddy Bread
Canyon School students are in "buddy groups," composed of students from each classroom.
"Buddy Bread' is a Canyon School tradition in which kids of different ages make bread and butter together. From learning what makes bread rise to finding out how simple it is to make delicious butter, each kid experiences making a honey whole wheat bread along with homemade butter with kids from their buddy group. The older ones teach the younger ones and help them measure out ingredients and they all put effort into kneading the dough with the reward being freshly baked bread with butter that they get to share with the whole school.
