Why is the Canyon School Auction so important?

Canyon School’s Spring Auction – a school tradition for 22 years, is the major fundraising event of the year.

  • 100% of the net proceeds from the auction support our school and keep our wonderful teaching staff in place. The auction is essential to help close the growing deficit in our annual budget.
  • The auction is a great community-building event. There are many volunteer opportunities and parents have fun working together to achieve a common goal.
  • The evening of the auction is fun, exciting and the social event of the school year!

How can I get involved?

The auction committee needs and appreciates all kinds of help from the Canyon and/or school community. No matter how much or how little time you can give, all is appreciated!

Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

Will Childcare be available?

Yes, we’re organizing a pizza, movie and game night at the school. Details to be announced. We do however, need a head count, so please let us know if you will need childcare for the evening. Email us with your needs. This will help us determine how many sitters we need to hire.

How do I pay for my Urban Peasant winning bid items and when do I get them?

All winning bid items must be paid for by cash, check, or money order. Payments will be collected and winning bid items will be given at the Canyon School Urban Peasant Auction and Dinner on April 28th.

If you are not attending the Auction and Dinner, you may pick up and pay for your item at Canyon Elementary School on Tuesday, May 1st at 3:00pm, or Thursday, May 3rd, at 3:00pm.

How do I get tickets?

You may purchase tickets online using our secure web store. You may use a credit card via PayPal or purchase using your PayPal account. You can also pay for tickets in cash or with a check made payable to: Canyon Education Foundation, which can be picked up at the school. For more information, please call the school at (925) 376-4671.

Is my donation/ticket tax deductible?

Yes, as the law allows. You will receive a note acknowledging your donation. Please refer to your tax advisor for details.
