Dear Friends, Community, Neighbors & School Parents:
Here it comes! The Annual Spring Auction & Dinner, Saturday, April 28th, 2012. This year is going to be amazing! We are bringing it back to grass roots and as close to home as we can. The event will be held at the Moraga Barn. This historic landmark building has undergone a recent award winning renovation by Canyon Construction.
We’re planning a magical night of seeing old friends, making a few new ones while sitting around a fire or two. Dining on delicious, sustainable, fresh, local, made-from-scratch food. Drinking wine made right here in Canyon, and hopefully having some memorable and entertaining bidding moments. Tickets will be limited to ensure a most intimate and special evening. This event is open to friends & family of Canyon School.
The event is fast approaching and we need your help to make our fundraising efforts a success. We are seeking cash donations and items to offer to the highest bidder at the Urban-Peasant Auction on Saturday April 28, 2012.
Here are a few DONATION IDEAS to spark your imagination:
Arrange a tour of a cool work place or hard-to-get-into location: Among the best sellers at any auction are packages that offer access to places, things, and experiences that you can’t just buy “off the rack.” Do you have some special access that you’re able to share?
Flaunt your hobbies and/or build an auction package around a theme: Do you have a special interest or hobby like sailing, biking, cooking, knitting, flying, etc.? Why not create an event or build a package around something you love?
Leverage your talents: Are you a Landscape, Interior or Graphic Designer? Musician? Chef? Photographer? Electrician? Bartender? Computer Expert? Childcare provider extraordinaire?
Give a stay in a vacation home or timeshare or donate unused frequent flyer miles: Yours or someone else’s? We all love to get away from it all!
Host a Party or Event: We were hoping for three to four Canyon homes/families to host a progressive dinner for an evening. Any volunteers?
A themed dinner, a camping trip, a tailgate BBQ, night out for Moms or Dads, the possibilities are endless!
Do you have an item you want to sell? Send us a photo and if we think we can sell it locally and/or on Craigslist; we will sell the item. In return, you get the tax deduction!
Connect with your connections. Tap into your personal and professional networks, and ask family, friends and colleagues to donate if possible.
Deadline for Items to offer is March 15, 2012.
